In a first from the /v/3 staff, we will be hosting a second game jam and livestream presentation for 2024! The /v/erdict will be a mini presentation featuring new games and updates from developers of both /v/ and /AGDG/, we encourage everyone to participate as always!

What is /v/3 and how is The /v/erdict different?

/v/3 Summer 2024: What the (S)Hell /v/3 2023: Battle Royale /v/³ 2022: Re/v/³ngeance

In 2020 a group of amateur content creators and game devs got together to host a parody version of E3, with gags relating to how those game shows are ran and to shine light on small fledgling indie devs. Each year saw more elaborate jokes and even more developers wanting to participate that it warranted trying multiple videos a year! The /v/erdict is gonna feature a more laid back style where we rapid fire game trailers and interview hand picked game developers, aiming for a 2004 G4 vibe. Shitpost and fangame submissions will be not accepted this time around, we have the main show for that. The only real challenge we task submitters with (besides having a cool looking game of course!) is to submit their trailers in a 4:3 aspect ratio resolution, as the final stream will recorded on an authentic VHS recorder and broadcasted in a square box!

The airdate for the livestream will be November 30th at 6pm EST | 3pm PST | 5PM CT on YouTube and other platforms TBA

Submission Guidelines

Itch page trailers can be 16:9, the trailer for the actual livestream MUST be in a 4:3 aspect ratio, recommended resolution is 1440x1080 if you just submit an old trailer that isn't formatted right, your game may be rejected please confirm in the discord if you are uploading a 16:9 with a crop. (We wouldn't want to make your game look bad with a poor crop anyways!).
Submit your trailer in a folder and clearly mark which trailer is formatted correctly for the video.
Trailer length is a minimum of 30 seconds and a maximum runtime of 3 minutes.
Trailer must be less than six months old, and can't be from a previous /v/3 event (Show off your progress anon!).
Shitpost, non dev videos, and fan games will not be accepted.
2 submissions per developer.
Trailers can be submitted through either this game jam page or via our discord.
Trailers will be reviewed by admins and a confirmation will be sent to you on your submitted platform.
If your game will debut at /v/3 before anywhere else, tell us, and we can give you a special mark on your trailer!
