We have 3 themes, with each of our judges coming up with one of them. These themes can be interpreted any way you want, and you can use any one or mix of ones. Here they are:
Pulling the strings - This theme was made by me (MuffinDev, https://justamuffindev.itch.io/). Things like pulling the strings behind the scene, or pulling actual strings would all work very well, or even an idea I haven't thought of!
An inside joke - This theme was picked by Blowupthenoobs (https://blowupthenoobs.itch.io/), and is a very difficult one. I would recommend not making it an inside joke that neither of us would get, because that wouldn't make sense to the judges or to the community who is also judging.
An inch from death - This theme was picked by Declamazing (https://declamazing.itch.io/), and is up for a lot of interpretation and creativity.
Again, you do not have to use all of these themes, you can use whatever one you want, or mix and match whichever you want. Prioritize a good game over the theme usages.
