Tired of needing to memorize 1,572 different controls and button combinations every time you play a game?
Then join this jam! The simpleton game jam is built on -you guessed it- simplicity! The focus is to make a game that's extremely easy to pick up on and play, while also being as fun as possible!
Make sure you read the details below!
DETAILS:
- IMPORTANT: Your game must have no more than two keys on the keyboard that the player needs to press to play the game(this does not include the mouse pointer). Other than this restriction, the game can be about pretty much anything!
- Don't start your game until the submission week.
- Use any tools you like! (gbStudio, Godot, Unity, Pico-8, Raylib, etc)
- Teams of as many or as few as you want can be used for the jam.
- You can use any pre-existing assets (asset packs) as long as they weren't made for the jam and you have the proper license for it and you must list pre-existing assets used on submission (no AI art).
- Finally, simple artstyle is not required, but it will help you get a better simplicity score when voting comes around.
