NSFW Game Jam Rules

Welcome to the NSFW Game Jam! This jam is all about creating adult-oriented games—whether they're erotic, provocative, or mature themes. Please read the rules carefully before participating.

Submission Limits

To ensure fairness and encourage quality over quantity, we have set the following limits on submissions (if you submitted one as a team, you cannot submit one as a solo and vice versa):

- Solo Submissions: Each participant may submit up to 5 games created entirely by themselves (no collaborators).

- Team Submissions: Each participant may be part of up to 2 team submissions. A team submission is a game created by two or more people.

Note: If you are part of a team, please ensure that all team members are credited and that the submission is listed as a team entry. Teams can be of any size, but each member must adhere to the individual participation limits.

Content Guidelines

This is an NSFW jam, so adult content is not only allowed but encouraged. However, we require that all submissions follow these guidelines:

- Consent and Ethics: All content must depict consensual activities (where applicable) and should not promote illegal acts, non-consensual violence, or hate speech.

- Age Restriction: Games must be clearly marked as 18+ on their itch.io page. You are responsible for ensuring that your game complies with local laws and itch.io's terms of service.

- Content Warnings: Please include clear and prominent content warnings in your game description (e.g., "contains explicit sexual content," "violence," "drug use," etc.). This helps players make informed choices.

- Prohibited Content: The following are not allowed:

  - Content involving minors (including lolicon, shotacon, or any depiction of underage characters in sexual situations).

  - Bestiality (sexual acts with real animals).

  - Real-life illegal acts or hate speech.

  - Malware, viruses, or any harmful code.

- Art and Assets: You may use third-party assets as long as you have the rights to do so and credit the creators. All original work must be your own.

Submission Requirements

- Your game must be created during the jam period. Pre-existing work is allowed, but these can only be made after 15/3/2026.

- The game must be playable on at least one platform (Windows, Mac, Linux, web, etc.). Web-based games are welcome and preferred.

- Include a clear description, screenshots, and any necessary instructions on your itch.io page.

- Your submission must be tagged with the jam's tag (provided at start) and marked as "NSFW" on itch.io.

Judging and Voting

- After the submission deadline, all participants and the public will be able to rate games based on criteria such as Concept, Execution, Erotic/Artistic Merit, and Overall Fun.

- Voting is optional but encouraged. You may not vote for your own game.

- The winners will be announced in each category and overall.

Code of Conduct

We aim to create a welcoming and inclusive environment for all participants. Harassment, discrimination, or any form of hateful behaviour will not be tolerated. Please be respectful in comments, forums, and feedback.

How to Submit

1. Create your game and upload it to itch.io (set it as a public project).

2. Go to the jam page and click "Submit Your Project".

3. Fill in the required details and link your game.

4. Ensure your game is properly tagged and rated.
