THE MAKER JAM 2023

Welcome to the first ever MAKER JAM! This is a game jam where you not only have to make a game, but also a level editor to go with the game. This will take effort, intelligence, persistence, and determination, but, in the end of the jam, everyone will be a maker.

CRITERIA

THEME: How well does your project follow the theme?

ENJOYABILITY: How enjoyable is your project?

EDITOR QUALITY: How well made is your level editor?

MUSIC: how good is your music/sound?

ART: how good is your art in the project?

RULES

Please release submissions that are appropriate and follow itch. Io's Terms of Service and other agreements, and I don't ask much more than just be reasonable. You can work in teams.

ENGINE

You can use whatever game engine you would like. I use Unity, but it really doesn't matter.

FAQ (No one asked these questions; I'm just giving info.)

Do I have to follow theme?       Yeah.

Should I focus on the level editor more, or the game?       Whichever one you would like, as long as it has a working level editor.

Can I work in teams?       As i said, you can work in a team of up to 4.
