Do you prefer making lighthearted, wholesome games, or do you enjoy creating unsettling horror experiences?

In The Goblin Jam, you get to decide.

This jam challenges you to make a game that fits the theme "Cute or Creepy." You can take it in either direction—create something charming and heartwarming, or go all in on eerie and disturbing. Both styles will be judged together under the same theme, so it's up to you how you interpret it.

Rules

Your game must fit the theme "Cute or Creepy" (or a mix of both).

Any genre, engine, or style is welcome.

Work solo or as a team.

Keep it respectful and within community guidelines.

Example Ideas
(To Work With)
----

1. Goblin Café (Cute) You run a cozy little café for goblins deep in the woods. Serve weird but delicious food like "Mossberry Pie" and "Crunchy Bone Biscuits" to a cast of quirky goblin customers. Upgrade your café, befriend regulars, and deal with occasional food fights.

2. Goblins at the Gate (Creepy) You’re a lone guard stationed at a medieval outpost, tasked with keeping the goblins away. Every night, they get closer. At first, it’s just noises in the trees. Then, you see glowing eyes. Eventually, they start whispering your name. Are they trying to get in... or get you to come out?

3. Goblin Heist (Cute & Chaotic) You play as a small goblin thief trying to pull off the biggest heist ever—stealing the king’s treasure! Sneak through the castle, avoid knights, and use ridiculous goblin gadgets like Sticky Hands or Sneaky Stink Bombs to create distractions.

4. Hollow Hill (Creepy) Legends say no one who enters the goblin tunnels beneath the hills ever returns. You’re an explorer who foolishly goes in, only to find yourself trapped in an ever-changing labyrinth filled with grotesque goblins who don’t appreciate visitors. The deeper you go, the more reality starts to warp... and the harder it becomes to leave.
