There is a trope in media called "bury your gays" where when there is a queer character, they almost always end tragically, often in their death. This jam is about subverting that trope, in a manner that fits the spooky Halloween season.

QUEER UNDEAD

This jam is about queer undead characters. Your entry must include a character that is both queer and undead, and preferably more than one. Undead can include zombies, ghosts, vampires, liches, skeletons, and a whole host of other spooky characters.

WHAT CAN YOU MAKE FOR THIS JAM

This jam was originally conceived as a tabletop game jam, but we decided to open it up to various formats. That includes stories, comics, music, and videos games. Video game submissions must be playable in the browser or they will be removed. It would be too difficult to moderate otherwise.

WHO CAN PARTICIPATE

If you identify as queer or LGBTQ+, then you can participate in this jam. If you are a fascist or nazi, then you may not participate in this jam, even if you are queer.

ADDITIONAL RULES

• No hateful content. References to hate are acceptable, as long as they explicitly called out as such.
• Don't write about trauma that is not your own. If you are cis, don't make a story about violence against trans people, or hire a trans person as a consultant so they can make sure you don't write anything harmful.
• You are encouraged, but not required, to charge money for your submission.
• You can submit multiple projects.
