The First-Ever Charity Jam against Homelessness is a 48-hour game jam organised by the social responsibility team at Studio Milk.
To participate in the jam, you will need to get a Jam Submission Ticket by making a donation on our Eventbrite page. All proceeds raised are donated to Crisis, the national charity for homeless people in the UK.
The First-Ever Charity Jam Against Homelessness spans 48 hours, starting September 9th at 8 pm and ending on September 11th at 8 pm. The theme for the jam will be announced on our twitter page @studiomilk_ one hour before the jam begins.
The game-making stage of the jam takes place wherever suits you best. After the jam, there is a Jam Games Showcase and Awards Ceremony event in London that is free for all to attend. 25 Award nominees will be invited to showcase their jam submissions in front of a room full of Games Designers, students, innovators and influencers from the Games Design and affiliated industries. Winners of the Best of Art, Best of Narrative and Best of Gameplay Awards will be decided by a panel of experts made up of three heavy-hitters from the British Games Design industry. There is also a Best of Show Award up for grabs that will be decided by those in attendance during the showcase stage of the event.
The post-jam Jam Games Showcase and Awards Ceremony event is hosted by Game Academy, at 2 Finsbury Avenue, London EC2M 2PF, taking place on 13th September and running from 17:00 to around 20:00.
To round off the event with a bang, we’d like to invite everybody to have a drink with us at the Theatre Deli bar, which is located immediately below the event venue. We look forward to seeing you there!
