A Boardwalks & Sorcery jam for the print release of Moonlight on Roseville Beach!

Celebrate the print release of Moonlight on Roseville Beach with the Dunes & Disco jam! Grab a copy of Roseville Beach (or just the free quickstart) and the free Boardwalks & Sorcery creator's kit and make mysteries, origin stories, guest stars, whole new settings, or anything else.

What's welcome?

  • Player options for Moonlight on Roseville Beach, including origin stories, jobs, strange events, and guest stars.
  • GM tools for Moonlight on Roseville Beach, including mysteries, mystery starters, items, lore, or random event tables.
  • Conversion notes for other Creative Commons or similarly licensed systems (other than games from Hasbro — don't do that).
  • Alternate locations or whole new games created with the Boardwalks & Sorcery kit.
  • Visual assets for commercial projects (typefaces, stock images, public domain image collections, etc.) that fit the themes and tone of Moonlight on Roseville Beach.
  • Digital tools for players and GMs.
  • Flash fiction, microfiction, and drabbles set on Rose Island or in Roseville Beach (from 100 words to approximately 2000 words)

Works included in this jam can reference named NPCs, events, and locations from Moonlight on Roseville Beach and state that they're compatible with Moonlight on Roseville Beach as long as they don't reproduce full descriptions or mechanics from sources other than Boardwalks & Sorcery.

This jam welcomes commercial work, free work, and works in progress.

If you're a small or indie publisher that's got a DriveThruRPG exclusive agreement, I welcome external submissions.

What's not welcome?

  • Works or creators who support white supremacy, antisemitism, homophobia, biphobia, transphobia, or other forms of bigotry against marginalized people.
  • Heroic or laudatory portrayals of queer people (or "allies") who align with white supremacy, antisemitism, TERFs, or cops.

If your work wouldn't be welcome in the OSR June Jam or The Queer Medieval Jam, it's not welcome here.
