The Distant Valiant Game Jam – The Manhattanville community’s reaction to COVID-19
In this time of uncertainty, our MVille community has lost a lot, but we have also seen some inspiring examples of resolve and collaboration.
Whether your experience is good, bad, strange, hard, interesting, scary – we want to hear from you!
The task: make a personal game (digital or tabletop)/interactive fiction/digital zine about your experience during this time of social distancing. Then, share what you made on our game jam site!
What’s a game jam?
Game jams challenge game developers (even first-time developers) to create games based on a particular theme within a limited time frame. You can work alone or with others to create a game (or zine) about your experience of the current global crisis.
Our Game Jam will run until April 13th. So, you have a week and some change to throw something together. Experiment! Try something new! Fail and tell us about it! Or succeed and tell all your friends!
This is about having fun and expressing yourself. We are here to encourage and discover one another in new ways!
