The Tezal-Con Valentine's Day Jamboree is the official game jam of Tezal-Con, a video game centric Comic-Con, hosted in Daleville, Alabama, United States of America, February 4-5th, 2023. The jam will be held in the weeks prior to the event, and the winners will be showcased on stage, with the top game being played on stage before a live audience.
The jam itself will take place from Sunday, the 1st of January at 12PM to Sunday the 15th, at midnight. Tezal-Con's Valentine's Day Jamboree is being hosted with the intention of shining a spotlight on new and upcoming talented developers, artists, designers, composers and more.
The Tezal-Con Valentine's Day Jamboree will be held remotely, and judging will occur weeks prior to the event, but all winning games will be showcased live. The winner will also be invited to attend the show, and present their game personally. Winners will be given free weekend pass and a discount hotel costs.
We are currently open and allowing for late submissions. If you have a late submission please contact the host. Late submissions deadline is the 30th of January.

FAQ
Is there a prize for the winners? Yes, currently the prize pool is at $50 for the winner, and may continue to go up.
What can I make my game in? Anything. Project can be 2D or 3D. All games must be playable on PC. No VR games.
What assets can I use? The game should be developed during the jam, but you may use pre-existing code and can use whatever art and audio assets you have the legal right to use.
How should I implement the theme? Your game must have something to do with Valentines Day, or the concept of love itself. How it does this is your choice, however the execution is a voting criteria.
When should I submit my game? While the jam concludes at 12:00 CST. We recommend uploading something early, and updating as you go! Once this concludes, all submissions will be shut, with no opportunities for late submissions!
What is the voting criteria? The main voting categories goes as follows. Theme Implementation, User Experience, Art, Audio and Originality.
