THE THEME FOR THE JAM IS... SPORTS!

The text game jam is back! This time, coming in 2021.

For each year after 2021, I will be hosting a text game jam from January 1st, to the 14th, where submissions will be voted on until the end of the month.

This jam is welcome to people of all experience, from beginners who don't know how to make games with graphics, to experienced developers who have made many full scale games.

Text games include:

• Any games played in the console
• Games with text based / ASCII based graphics
• Games that rely on text to be fully enjoyed

Submission Criteria:

• Overall (Overall scoring)
• Text (How text-based is it)
• Creativity (How creative the topic is)
• Complexity (How complex the game is played)
• Enjoyment (How fun the game is)
• Theme (How well the game fits in with the theme)

Game Requirements:

• Text based / ASCII graphics (Console or visual graphics like Dwarf Fortress)
• Nothing offensive to some people (Racial slurs, sexist, racist)

Side note if you are still reading this: I never expected this jam to get so big, so hopefully next year in 2022, we will get onto the featured page.
