Welcome to the first ever Technically a Game Jam! ✨ This is the first installment of a much-requested game jam for the Technically Speaking Discord community: a server that's focused around technical art, VFX, programming and game development in general!
I'm Harry Alisavakis, a technical/VFX artist from Athens, Greece, and I'll be your host of this game jam!
You can find links about me or the Technically Speaking Discord server below in the Links section.
#1: Your game must be created during the jam.
#2: You are allowed to use media that is not subject to copyright.
#3: Your game must (somewhat) fit the theme that will be announced at the start of the game jam.
#4: No NSFW games, or games that are inappropriate or offensive in any way.
#5: Have fun! ✨
Q: Do I need a team to join?
A: You can participate solo or in a team!
Q: Is there a max team size?
A: There's no limit to the team size.
Q: Are there any restrictions in software use?
A: Nope, use whatever engine/library/program you want.
Q: Will the games be ranked?
A: Nah, we're keeping it light for now, so there's no competitive part in this particular game jam.
Q: Does my submission have to be related to technical art / VFX?
A: No need! However, if you do make anything interesting tech art/VFX - wise for your submission, writing something (a tweet/ blog/ discord message) about it or making a small breakdown would be greatly appreciated!
