Game Jam Theme: Couch Co-op
Explanation: Your game must support local cooperative play — whether it’s split-screen or shared-screen, two or more players should be able to play together on the same PC.
This is a simple yet surprisingly underutilized feature in modern games. If you get it right, you’ll be tapping into a niche market that still has plenty of room for creative and commercial success.
Need inspiration?
Check out titles like: Overcooked, Kingdom Two Crowns, Broforce, Castle Crashers, Cuphead, Magicka…
Each of them proves that sharing the screen can be chaotic, fun, and deeply engaging.
Good luck, and let’s make something awesome. 😎
Most of us in game development aren’t exactly social butterflies. We love creating, but forming teams can be hard. Miscommunication, mismatched goals, lack of direction, sound familiar?
This jam exists to fix that.
TEAM-UP JAM is 100% focused on team-based development.
The goal? Bring people together, form small teams, and actually finish a game. You’ll learn how to collaborate, manage tasks, share creative control, and communicate ideas, all in a structured and supportive environment designed to make teamwork feel natural and achievable.
We’re not just jamming, we’re learning to work together.
Teamwork is the core rule.
If you’re struggling to find a team, don’t worry, we’ll help with that. Join the Discord (link below) and connect with others looking for teammates.
You’ll have 1 month to make a small, focused game.
This is a jam for games like:
Yes, you’re free to try something complex, but we strongly discourage it.
Over-scoping is the #1 killer of jam projects, especially in teams. The real win is completing something solid, together.
Only participants who submit a game AND play/review at least 5 other entries can vote.
The goal is community-driven evaluation, fair, honest, and constructive.
That said:
Because this isn’t just about making a game, it’s about making connections, building team skills, and finishing something together.
We’re starting a community from scratch, so if you want to be part of a space where small teams grow together, this is it.
Let’s make something playable, fun, and complete, and let’s do it as a team.
We’re just getting started, so your energy and participation matter. Help shape a space where devs can connect, team up, and actually finish games.
