FAQ
What do I need to submit?
Your final game must be an executable that can run on a windows machine. Submissions that only run in-editor cannot be accepted. If your game can only be played on mac, please let a TAGD officer know as soon as possible!
Additionally, we ask that all teams create a ~1.5 minute video showcasing your game's features and controls. The judges will watch this video before they play your games.
When/where will the final game presentations be?
The final game jam presentations will be held on Thursday, Nov 19th at 7:30, and the meeting will be held over Discord. One of the TAGD officers will stream the games during the meeting while the judges are evaluating the submissions.
How will the games be judged?
The games will be judged by a panel of industry representatives, A&M professors, and experienced student mentors. The judges will meet in a separate discord channel to play/discuss the submissions during the meeting. Note: you will NOT be able to speak with the judges while they play your game, so please make sure you include information on the game's features/controls!
What awards will be given?
The judges will choose a 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place based on a holistic review of the entire game. All aspects of the game (design, art, programming) are weighted equally. Additionally, we'll vote for a crowd favorite during the meeting.
My game requires a certain controller/device. Will the judges be able to play it?
The default control/platform will be Mouse and Keyboard on Windows. If your game has any other controller/platform requirements, please let an officer know and we'll make sure the judges have the right equipment to play your game.
My game requires local multiplayer. Will the judges be able to play it?
We will have 2 officers set up for local multiplayer so that the judges can watch them play your games. If your game requires more than 2 people in local multiplayer, please let the officer team know ASAP!
