This jam is now over. It ran from 2022-11-17 23:00:00 to 2022-11-20 12:00:00.

Time to Jam!

Let the creativity flow in the Tactile Game Jam where alongside colleagues we gather to bring live to ideas and small projects to challenge ourselves, learn and have fun!

Rules of the game:

  • Make sure the game is playable. SO KEEP THE SCOPE LOW.
  • The game source code and assets needs to be open source.
  • Have fun (I guess this is more a suggestion)
  • Keep it safe for work.

Schedule:

  • Friday November 18 ~16:00 -> We join in the 1st floor BH, form groups and start brainstorming ideas
  • Saturday November 19 -> We join at tactile to make the ideas come true
  • Sunday November 20 @12:00 : Submission ends. PLEASE SUBMIT BEFORE THIS DATE

NOTE: We understand people may have different schedules so it is not required to keep jamming on Sunday, just make sure to submit before the given time.

FAQ

  • When does it start?
    Friday November 18 - 15:00
  • When does it end?
    Sunday November 20 - 12:00
  • Where is it?
At tactile office, Ideally all will sit in the same floor but it depends on equipment needs (or in the internet too! Check the next entry)
  • Can I join remotely?
Yes! We live in an era where remote collaboration is easy and part of our lives, so feel free to join remotely!
  • What should I do?
Make a small game, publish it on itch.io, make the source public and submit before the end date so other colleges can play.
  • Do I need a team?
Ideally this is a collaborative event so we encourage to have a team. But nothing prevents you from having a team of 1 person.
  • Does it need to be a mobile game?
    No.
  • Are there prizes?
Knowledge and personal satisfaction are among them. (in other words: no)
  • Can I win?
Of course, we are all winners in life, but this game jam is not ranked. It is not a competition (but you can try to make the best game non the less)
  • Can I keep the game after I finish it?
Sure, the game will be open source, so anyone can keep it.
  • Will there be food?
    Yes, food will be provided.
  • Can someone from outside Tactile join?
Not this time. In order to keep the organization of the event simple, we will prefer to have it Tactilers only.
  • Can I still join even if I am not a programmer/artist/designer?
Yes! I believe everyone has something to contribute! But I do think that having some knowledge directly related to game development (for example art, programming, design, sound, unity) can help to contribute more and make the experience more enjoyable.
  • More questions?
