Information

Sylvie's Jam #1 is a themed game jam that runs until the end of November.

You're strongly encouraged to only spend a small amount of time on your game, rather than starting a month-long nightmare project. Consider one of the following options.

1. Start your game in the afternoon and try to finish it before you go to bed.
2. Same as #1 but spend the next day wrapping up the game.
3. Choose a weekend where you are not busy and make the game during the weekend.
4. Same as #3 but use Monday to put finishing touches on the game.
5. Work on the game casually over a week (1-2 hours per weekday) and finalize it on the weekend. 

Theme (Important)

A game that you hate but it has a cute kitten in it, so it's impossible to insult the kitten. The kitten can ride a boat sometimes. When you try to buy from the shop there's a random chance something bad happens. The boat is hard to control precisely. When you die, you have to rebuild the boat by playing a puzzle game style sequence. There is an enemy (jellyfish) who appears when the timer runs out and tries to get you. There must be island gameplay and boat gameplay. The goal is only to get money and buy expensive items.

Rules

Do not submit your game to the jam unless it follows the theme.

Addendum: If the idea of following the theme makes you want to give up or not even try because it's too hard, choose between four to seven sentences from the theme and only follow those sentences.
