What is this Jam? 

The Super Cat Jam is a celebration of all things Neutronized!  (And Super Cat Tales) (unofficial jam)

This is a beginner friendly Game Jam for those who love Neutronized's games and those who are just starting out! (If you don't know who they are, you can still come on in!) 

All skill levels are welcome to participate.

You are tasked with making a playable video game/prototype within a single week. (doesn't have to be finished or long!) After which there will be a week to play and vote on all of the games.

Your goal? 

Create a fan game based on your favorite Neutronized Title! (Ex: Drop Wizard, Super Cat Tales, etc) (or you could make something original and inspired if you really want to.)

Submissions will be viewable AFTER the jam period is over. This is to prevent spam and give everyone a fair chance!

Resources 

If you're first starting out with game development, try following a tutorial on YouTube!

 We all have to start somewhere. For beginners, I recommend using Scratch or Godot. Personally, I use Gamemaker Studio 2 but that costs a bit of money. Any engine is permitted!

 If you are looking where to get sprites, try The Spriters Resource! There you can find sheets for Super Cat Tales 2. If you can't find anything you are looking for, try asking around in the Official Super Cat Tales Discord Server.

The Jam will primarily take place in my Discord Server  

Rules

1. The game can be created in any engine of your choice. (EX: Scratch, Gamemaker, Unity, RPG Maker)
2. The game must be made for this jam. (You could use an existing game as a base but it isn't recommended)
3. You are allowed to use any sprites from Neutronized Games.
4. You can use other peoples assets, but you MUST credit them!
5. You can collaborate with other people!
6. Keep it at LEAST PG-13.

Games will be ranked in these categories:

1. Enjoyment
   1. Was it fun?
2. Visuals
   1. Did the game look good?
3. Sound
   1. How was the music and sound?

Can I work in a team?   

-yes

Does it have to be Super Cat Tales? 

-no, you can do other neutronized series

Does it have to be Neutronized? 

-no, but it is heavily recommended !

Do you allow late submissions? 

-late submissions are available up to 24 hours after the deadline

Will there be a prize? 

-possibly in the future, right now i can't give anything of substantial value
