Welcome to the INIT FIU's SunJam 2026!
INIT FIU is hosting a 24-hour game jam open to developers of all skill levels. Whether you're a seasoned dev or picking up a game engine for the first time, you're welcome here! Compete in-person at FIU or join remotely from anywhere in the world.
🎮 How It Works
The theme and categories will be revealed at 6 PM on Friday, July 18. You'll have exactly 24 hours to design, build, and submit your game. Online participants are welcome to join and submit on the same theme and deadline.

Prizes will be awarded to in-person contestants. Sponsor and prize details coming soon!

Friday, July 18
- 4:00 PM - 6:00 PM - Check-in at (Room to be revealed soon!)
- 4:30 PM - 5:45 PM - Team Building Activity (Coming solo and want to join a team? Join us for a fun activity to find a team!
- 6:00 PM - Intro/Kick off, theme reveal, & jam begins!
- 8:30 PM - 10:30 PM - Game Development Workshop (Topic and Room to be revealed soon!)
Saturday, July 19
- 1:00 PM Game development Workshop (Topic and Room to be revealed soon!)
- 4:00 PM Game development Workshop (Topic and Room to be revealed soon!)
- 6:00 PM — Submissions close
- 6:00 PM–8:00 PM — Game Showcase & Judging
- 8:00 PM — Winners & prizes announced!

Can't make it in person? You can still compete! Submit your game by 6 PM on Saturday, July 19 to be eligible for our online categories (prizes not included).
