Welcome to the INIT FIU's SunJam 2026!

πŸ“… Dates: July 18–19, 2026

INIT FIU is hosting a 24-hour game jam open to developers of all skill levels. Whether you're a seasoned dev or picking up a game engine for the first time, you're welcome here! Compete in-person at FIU or join remotely from anywhere in the world.



The theme and categories will be revealed at 6 PM on Friday, July 18. You'll have exactly 24 hours to design, build, and submit your game. 

 Can't make it in person? You can still compete! Submit your game by 6 PM on Saturday, July 19 to be eligible for our online categories (prizes not included).

Saturday, July 18

  • 12:00 PM - 3:00 PM - Check-in (PG6-116)
  • 12:30 PM - 1:30 PM - Team-building Activity (Coming solo and want to join a team? Join us for a fun activity to find a team!)
  • 2:00 PM - Lunch
  • 3:00 PM - Kickoff Ceremony and theme reveal
  • 4:00 PM - Jam officially begins
  • 4:30 PM - 5:30 PM – Workshop #1 (Topic and Room to be revealed soon!)
  • 6:00 PM - 7:00 PM - Workshop #2 (Topic and Room to be revealed soon!)
  • 8:00 PM - 9:00 PM - Workshop #3 (Topic and Room to be revealed soon!)
  • 9:00 PM - Day 1 Closing

Sunday, July 19

  • 9:00 AM - Doors Open
  • 10:00 AM - 12:00 PM - Workshop #4 (Topic and Room to be revealed soon!)
  • 1:00 PM - Submission Opens
  • 2:00 PM - Lunch/Dinner
  • 4:00 PM - Submission Closes
  • 4:00 PM - Jam officially ends
  • 4:00 PM - 6:00 PM – Game Showcase and Judging
  • 6:00 PM - 7:00 PM - Closing Ceremony and Awards
