Welcome to the Student Game Jam! This is a casual jam made for interacting with other participants, getting feedback on your submission and for making a great addition to your portfolio... but is most importantly supposed to be a fun experience! Join the fun on your own or team up with your friends to make something cool.

Once the jam is over, you'll be given five other submissions to quickly play and rank.

Head over to our Discord for more detail: https://discord.gg/Y8DNpFmYmP

THEME

The theme is… Growth!

Remember that this theme is super flexible! Maybe the player character can grow, maybe the world around them will instead… maybe you could make a plant growing game? Or maybe you interpret growth as something entirely different! So long as your game revolves around growth, whether physical, mental or something else, it counts!

RULES & GUIDELINES

  1. Any game engine is allowed! We recommend Unity, Unreal or Godot, but any engine of a similar calibre is permitted.
  2. Submissions must not contain any NSFW, hateful or overly graphic content.
  3. AI generated content in any capacity is not permitted.
  4. Pre-made assets and any assets you have the right to use (such as royalty-free ones) are permitted, but please do not pre-make anything with the intent to use it in the jam.
  5. If possible, please export your game for HTML5 to allow as many systems as possible to play it. You should also export your game for Windows 10/11.
  6. Open-sourcing your submission is encouraged! This will allow other participants to learn from your code. It'll also prove useful for when you'd like to add it to your portfolio.
