This game jam is a competition in which you have 1 weekend to create a game! Only students from UHasselt, PXL and UCLL will be allowed to enter. Where you'll battle it out alone or in small teams. It's an experience open for new and experienced developers, so don't worry if you just started out!

Theme


Every game will be made around a given theme, expect something  like expansion, space, roles reversed, ... The theme will be announced when the jam starts, to prevent people from starting early. The theme can be taking lightly, for example space could be a game about space exploration, as well as a game about the space bar on your keyboard, or the space between multiple objects!

Rules


  • You, and everyone on your team, has to be a student at UHasselt, PXL or UCLL.
  • Teams are allowed, to a maximum of 3 people.
  • Submissions should be playable in browser or on windows.
  • If you use any external assets, you have to address them when submitting your game.

Rating


The games will be rated according to the following criteria:

  1. Fun: How much fun did you have while playing the game?
  2. Creativity: How creative is the submission? Did they incorporate the theme in an interesting way? ...
  3. Graphics: The looks of the game. Where there nice graphics? Did the game have a nice aesthetic? ...
  4. Sounds: All the sounds in the game, sound effects, music, ..

At the end of the rating period, an overall score will be given to every submission based on the mentioned criteria.

Submissions


When submitting your game, you are required to mention any external assets that where used. You'll also need to add all team-members to the game and give the student email. These mails won't be made visible, but are used by the admins to verify that everyone is from UHasselt, PXL or UCLL.
