Can you make a game in nine days?

The St Andrews Game Jam is a collaboration between student societies, bringing together artists and developers to build something together in just over a week.

But what is a game jam?

This year's theme is Seasons: games about change, cycles, and the turning of the year.

The Jam is open to everyone, whatever your experience. Group submissions are encouraged.

When

  • Submissions open on Saturday the 19th of September, 2026.
  • Submissions close at midnight on Sunday the 27th of September.
  • Voting closes at midnight on Sunday the 4th of October.

Prizes

Games are ranked by participant votes.

  • First place: £50
  • Second place: £20
  • Third place: No cash prize

Every game in the top three also gets a printed certificate and a special copy of the poster, delivered by post or, if you live in St Andrews, personally.
