This is an event where you get the opportunity to create games, according to a surprise theme, using your creative expertise! No need to have any experience in making games. You can either do solo or team up in this Game Jam!
1. You are allowed to use any engine that works for you (Ex: Unity, Godot, GameMaker, etc). If there is something you want to use, but not sure if it is allowed, please email us.
2. You are allowed to either form teams or work individually. If you are forming a team, please make sure to list your team names on the game before submission. Note that your team members must be enrolled in this Game Jam. If one or more of your team members are not listed in the Game Jam, the submission will be invalid. At least one member of your team must be a member of the University of St. Thomas community.
3. The game must not be a previously made game, meaning that it cannot be a game that you already made and use that to submit it in this game jam. It must be a game made specifically for this game jam and that it is built from the ground up from start of the event to the finish.
4. The game must be playable in either a web browser or downloaded to be played on Windows and Mac only.
5. No bigoted content (racism/queer-phobia/sexism etc.) as well as no pornographic content. If you are unsure if your game idea is breaking this rule, please let us know.
6. The game must not contain any malicious files that are embedded in the game that affects the computer in any way. (Don't make like the game OneShot where it adds a text file onto the desktop).
7. The game must fit the theme of the Game Jam.
