Welcome to the /r/SRPGStudio One Year Anniversary Game Jam Contest!

This is a contest to display to the game making community that SRPG Studio is a plausible game engine to make games on and to celebrate the one-year anniversary of the official release of the engine in English.

There will be a sign-up period of one week starting October 1 to midnight EST October 7th via the Discord server. If you join up here and and do not state in the Discord server who you are OR if you join after the sign-up period has ended, your entry will not be counted. Development and submissions must be done during the period of October 8th to midnight EST November 5th. Judging will take place between November 6th through to November 11th. Prizes are still being discussed and will be revealed on the server when they have been decided.

-All entries must be made with SRPG Studio. Other engines will be disqualified.

-All games must contain only one map. Using more than one map or using tileset swapping to simulate multiple maps is not allowed. Having multiple objectives on the same map is allowed though.

-All games must have their price set to "Free". Locking your game behind a paywall to play it just makes it harder for the judges to do their jobs. You can always change the price to whatever you feel like after judging is complete.

-Do not use assets that would break copyright laws. For the love of all that is holy, just don't use copyrighted materials.

Entries will be judged in three categories:

Story: How well the story of the game is written

Mapping: How well the level design is made

and most importantly,

Ease Of Play: How easy is it for a person who has never touched a SRPG before to be able to pick up the game and play it without issue. This is the primary thing your entry will be judged on.
