Who are we?
GDS@TXST is Game Developers Society at Texas State University. We are a collection of student game developers who are interested in creating and making games.
How do I join?
All you need to do to join is join our Discord and enroll in the jam here on itch.io!
Theme:
Singular
This can mean 1 Input or 1 Color or 1 Player or 1 Mechanic. As long as it has 1 thing!
Rules:
- No sexually explicit, bigoted, or derogatory content is allowed
- There cannot be a price to play the game during the voting time.
- You must create the game within the jam times and provide an explanation of how it matches the theme.
- Please tag your game appropriately if it includes sensitive topics.
- Games made or heavily contributed to by officers are not eligible for the ranking.
- Your game must have either a Windows or web build available for judging. Web is preferred for accessibility reasons.
- There is no max size to a Team and no requirements to enter.
3rd Party Asset Policy
- You may use any assets you have the rights to use.
- All submissions must have a credits page, either in the game itself, or on the itch.io page.
- You may use 3rd party libraries and code, as long as you credit it, however we recommend refraining from overusing preexisting code during the jam. (For example, you are free to use basic Navigation AI library itself, but to code your own interactions in the game.
- Please refrain from AI generated assets, code, or audio in your game. The spirit of game jams is to be your own work as much as possible.
Anything you make during the jam is your property. We claim no rights or ownership over your games.

All entries will be judged based off the following criteria, be be given a star:
- Gameplay
- Fun Factor
- Theming
