It's back, and better than ever! The UNCC Game Developers' Fall Game Jam! Join us and plenty of other talented developers in our community for 49 hours of collaboration, creativity, and game development.

The 49hr Spring Game Jam is a game development event open to all skill levels and open to all students. A theme will be presented at the start of the game jam, and then you will be set loose to design and create an entire game based on that theme. You'll have a total of 48 hours (from March 20th @ 5:00 PM to March 22nd @ 5:00 PM) to put forth your best effort!

This event is open to people of all experience levels and talents! Typically participants will want to work in groups; if you want to work solo, that's fine too! And if you're looking for a new group, plenty of others will be looking for group members too, so don't worry! You can reach out to them on our Discord Page!

FAQ:

Who can enter? Anyone, of any skill set and skill level! You can work alone or in teams.

What can I make my game in? Anything! So long as you can upload either a file, link, or other type of media to this site. We've had all kinds of games submitted in the past, from big engines like Unity, Unreal Engine, GameMaker or Godot, to more unorthodox ones like Roblox, PyGame, or Scratch, to using no engine at all if you're feeling masochistic! You can even make something IRL!

Can I make a board game? Of Course! Just make sure to submit the instructions as an itch page! And if you are at the presentations in person you can show us how to play!

Is there a Discord I can join? Yes! Discord will be the main source of communication about the jam, as well as the main forum for discussion, and teamwork! Join ours at https://discord.gg/2gxmrGw
