Theme - Ceramic Heritage

Stoke-on-Trent has been shaped by the pottery industry for over 300 years and is known as 'The Potteries'. From the 17th century, the industry flourished through revolutionary ideas and the development of ceramic manufacturing techniques by Master Potters such as Wedgwood and Spode. Stoke-on-Trent is still famous for its quality ware sold the world over, including Wedgwood, Emma Bridgewater, Moorcroft, Dudson, Portmeirion, Spode and Royal Doulton, to name just a few. The new artwork on Clough Street painted by James Rogerson and commissioned by Stoke-on-Trent City Centre BID pays homage to the city's industrial heritage.

There's a Great Q&A for the Jam here on the Stoke-ON-TREND Page here

What kind of games are you looking for?

We’re looking for digital games to be created that will be uploaded to Itch.io and ideally playable via smartphones using HTML. We've got a pack for Jammers with details all of the different game engines that you could use for this. We also want to make sure this GamesJam is as open as possible so we're happy if you want to make a game that's only playable on PCs too.

Who will see my game?

Anyone! Since the games will be accessible via QR codes in the city centre, you can expect shoppers, diners, city centre workers and residents, families and anyone with a smartphone to be able to play. We’d love Jammers to encourage their friends and family to come along and play too.
