PEAPOD GAMES PRESENTS - SOFA JAM! 

Do you miss the days of gaming where you could sit next to your best mates on the sofa and play together? Well so do we and that's why we're running SOFA JAM. 

It doesn't matter if you make a co-operative game like Sega's streets of rage or competitive game like Golden eye on the N64, as long as you can play it on one screen with 2-4 players that's all that counts.

You can work in a team or solo. You can be new to game development or a pro. You can make a prototype or fully finished game. We don't mind the only thing we want is for you to have fun.

The only theme you must follow is LOCAL MULTIPLAYER. A game that can be played with friends in the same room. We recommend making it with controllers in mind.

Witches and Wizards - Neo Future - Gravity - Night and Day 

You don't have to use any of these optional themes. They're there to help inspire you. You can also get in touch with us or ask the community for help on our discord.

RULES:

1 - Nothing NSFW, lets keep it clean.
2 - Nothing that singles out or offends peoples way of life, let's keep it friendly.
3 - Keep it PEGI 7. for example you can make a shooter but don't put in loads of blood and gore, lets keep it light.
4 - You do not need to use the optional themes.
5 - Only submissions made during the development time will be counted. You can continue to make your game but please wait till after the voting period of the Jam.
6 - MUST BE LOCAL MULTIPLAYER! 2-4 player. Single player games or online games will not be counted in the voting phase.
7 - Use any program you want. UE4, Unity or even make a table top game in word. We don't mind just make sure you follow rule 6. 
8 - You can use third party assets as long as you have the rights or they're free use but you must give credit where credit is due.
9 - Only games built during the Jam count.

VOTING:

There are 4 criteria to hit in the voting.

1 - Style, does the game look nice?
2 - Game play, how well does the game run?
3 - Originality, does the game show an original take in its story, game mechanics or style? 
4 - Fun factor, how much fun did you have playing it?

There are no prizes but the right to brag on the discord =P. We look forward to seeing what you guys come up with.
