It's that time of year again! Monsters lurk around every corner, ghosts haunt the living and all things creepy come out to play!
Halloween began as the Celtic festival of Samhain, where the veils between our world and the Otherworld thinned. This allowed all manner of creatures - from mischievous imps to malevolent spirits - the freedom to roam the Earth. It also marked the end of Summer and the beginning of Winter.
The SGBH2020 Game Jam runs from 1 October, 2020 to 31 October, 2020 at midnight GMT (4pm Pacific/6pm Central/7pm Eastern).

Amalgamash and I (Companion Wulf) will play through each submission throughout November, including videos on YouTube, and will decide on the winners. Prizes will be delivered in December.

No. Horror is a loose theme, anything from murder mystery to Lovecraftian lore. How you interpret the genre is up to you. However, in the spirit of Halloween, there must be something related to Halloween and/or the horror genre as a whole. As far as a theme or storyline, that's up to your imagination.
Yes, although it's preferable new games created for the SGBH2020 Game Jam are submitted. If a game hasn't been published anywhere else or submitted to any other game jams, you can submit the game to the jam.
No. This game jam is for games created in SGB only.
No. Games can be demo versions, proof-of-concept games or unfinished. Of course, if you _do_ manage to complete a game within the time, you are awesome!
We will look forward to seeing what kinds of games you guys submit and will play through them after the game jam is over. No doubt Amalgamash will also do some "Let's Plays" on his YouTube channel ('course he will!).
