We are excited to announce the first official Sloyd Game Jam!

Generate 3D assets for your game using Sloyd - a brand new tool for creating 3D fast, and easily.

Regardless of your experience level, come join the fun!

RITE OF PASSAGE

At least 5 assets should be created with Sloyd
Controlled characters and NPCs can be created with other software (but you get bonus points if you use one of our assets as the controlled asset)
Each team can have a maximum of 5 people. You can find teammates on our Discord.
The game should not contain any NSFW content
While planning is allowed, all coding, blueprinting, game design and creation must happen at the start of the event

We created channels on our Discord server for team communication during the event. Feel free to ask in the community if you have any questions.

Legal - Anything you make during the Sloyd Gamejam is your property. Sloyd claims no rights or ownership of your game.

Sloyd makes 3D creation a lot easier and faster. Our simple WebApp does not require setup or learning a new tool.

Select from over 90 different generators, and adjust the selected generator’s sliders to get the result you are looking for. There you have it!

Our tool is super easy to use and will allow you to focus on game design, rather than spend time on modeling.

Sloyd is currently in closed beta. Be one of the first users of the tool, with free access during the game jam!

UV-unwrapping (The shapes of each asset are unwrapped, but to place them in the UV tile is up to the user)

I don’t have a team, how can I participate?

Don’t worry, if you don’t have a team, you can find one in our discord server. Just look up the #find-a-team channel on our Discord.

Who are the judges?

The founders of Sloyd and the game jam manager will vote on each game.

How much experience do you need to use Sloyd?

None. Our tool is very intuitive and super easy to use.

Are there any restrictions on the assets generated with Sloyd?

They can be used freely in any way you want it, except reselling the asset itself as a product.

Do I have to make a 3D game for the jam?

You can make either 3D or 2D games as long as you stick to the general rules of the jam. We've seen great examples of 2D games using sprite versions of Sloyd generated models, so if you can do that during the game jam, go for it!
