Welcome to the Signful Game Jam -  a Jam for Sign Language inclusive games.
Whether you already know a Sign Language or not you can participate in this jam!

The main rule of this jam is that any game you submit must include at least one Sign Language - this can be through videos, images, animation, fonts etc. You make either make a new game for this jam or update an existing game you've made to include a Sign Language.

You don't need to be fluent in your chosen Sign Language to participate. Just try your best and have fun!

An optional theme will be announced at the start of the jam.

📜Rules: 

*Your game must include at least one Sign Language.
*Both digital and analogue (board/card/story) are allowed.
*AI submissions are not allowed.
*NSFW is not allowed. This jam is open to all ages.
*Be kind. Hate speech or discrimination (racism, sexism, homophobia, transphobia, ableism, etc.) will not be tolerated.
*If you're under 18, make sure to get your guardian's permission first before submitting your game.

❓FAQ:

👋 What Sign Language must my game include?
All Sign Languages are welcome! American Sign Language, British Sign Language, Japanese Sign Language, Kenyan Sign Language etc.

🙋 I don't know any Sign Languages, can I still take part?
Of course! You can use this jam as an opportunity to learn some Signs or you can
use the community tab or discord to find teammates who already know a  Sign Language.

🎨 Do I have to include the theme?
No, the theme is completely optional.

🎮 Can I submit my game/story to more than one jam? 
Yes, just make sure to follow the rules of each jam you submit to.

⌛ Do I have to spend the whole jam period making working on my submission?
No, you don't have to spend the whole time working on you submission. You can spend just one day adding Sign Language(s) to your game or several months. It's entirely up to you.

📦 Can I use pre-made assets?
Yes, as long as you have the legal rights to use them.

⏰ What if I miss the deadline?
Feel free to post about your game in the community tab. We’d still love to see it!
