Welcome to the Simon Fraser University GDC x CSSS Game Jam! 

This game jam is a collaboration between the Game Developers Club and the Computing Science Student Society at Simon Fraser University. 

The game jam takes place on the SFU Burnaby Mountain Campus in TASC 9204 on Saturday, June 28th at 9:00am-7:00pm PST.  The Game Developers club will be there to help everyone so beginners are not just welcome, they're encouraged! There will also be free food! 

You can work alone or with up to 3 other people to make a group of 4. We won't be assigning groups. The theme of the game jam will be revealed during the jam. You don't have to make your game fit the theme, but the theme is used as a piece of voting criteria for rating your game, so it is highly advised you try and stick to the theme.

There are 2 awards in this jam and you must submit your game via itch.io to be eligible for these awards. We have the Judges choice award and the People's choice award. Your submission will be voted on based on the following criteria:

• Fun - Well, how fun is it?
  
• Theme - How well did the game fit into or use inspiration from the theme?
• Aesthetics - How pretty is it?
• Music - How do those epic beats sound?
• Sound - How much do your ears love those sweet in-game sounds?
• Mechanics - How interesting are the things you actually do in the game?
