The Self Jam is an eight-day event that begins on the First Sunday of each month and ends on the following Sunday
It is all about using the eight days to work on your projects or refine your creative skills. !And you don't have to do it alone!
Share your work with others or find teammates, cause no one can do all the work alone. In short: Be creative together with others to get better than you already are.
You don't need to do anything. This Jam is about you getting motivated to work on something. A videogame, music, the book you always wanted to write, or anything else that you want to create. Now is the time to do so. If you want others to see your work or ask for feedback, join the Discord and connect with others who think just like you.
And if you are creating a videogame, you can even upload it here on Itch.io
Join the Discord to show your project even if the Jam is over. You can even submit projects that are not Video Games. Discord Invite
Optional rule:
- I encourage you to document your work as detailed as possible and share the documentation as a Google Docs file. That helps plan everything and you can see where you made mistakes to improve for future projects
BE CREATIVE
Work on any project that you want, an already ongoing one or a new one that you always wanted to start. It doesn't matter as long as you are creative and are working on something.
These are the main categories, but if your project falls under a different category, write it on the Discord server and we can improve the categories.
You can only submit video games here on Itch, so if you want to present your non-video game work join the Discord.
The Submissions end with the time window of the Jam, but as this is not a rated Jam you can still submit everything you do on the Discord whenever you want to. That helps you with feedback and keeps you motivated.
This is a NON RANKED jam. There is no points. No winner. No loser. Just the work you did and can be proud of no matter what anyone else says.
