GameJams are a cool way to give yourself constraints and a time limit to make awesome projects. You will have All of August 2024  to create a game or software project from start to finish. 

After submission your games will be ranked by other entrants as well as yourself.

Rules

Entries must be created using SDL as the basis for the game/software. This means no using already created game engines that uses SDL for windowing/input. You must handle your own gameloop and render pipeline. 

You are able to use single-header libraries, sdl_gfx, sdl_mixer, sdl_ttf, openal, libcurl, etc. You just cannot use a pre-packaged game engine or framework like Game Maker Studio, Unreal, Unity, etc. 

Each entry must work or run-on Windows 7 and above.

Games must be appropriate for minors to play(No NSFW, adult content/nudity)

Keyboard and/or mouse for input(Touch screen/gamepad is allowed, but must be playable via keyboard/mouse as option)

You are able to form a team, however prizes are allocated 1 per team, not 1 per teammate.

Art & Audio:

You should create your own game assets(art/music), but if you cannot you MUST GIVE CREDIT TO ARTISTS and follow their licensing agreements.  You are excluded from sprite-ripping copyrighted commercial games(i.e pokemon/mario/zelda/sonic, etc). There is a vast amount of free, public domain and opengameart.org to select from, why risk the DMCA claim?
