Welcome to the Egg Jam 2026!

This game jam is focused on creating Egglike Games! You have a month to create an egglike game, this can be on any engine and you can use assets from previous games if you wish, within reason. You can't submit a game that you have made before the jam, it needs to be made during the jam.

What is an egglike game anyway?

Egglikes are surrealist games built around stimulating the player, rather than offering gameplay or a story. The genre offers jokes, art, music, and references, often collected by means of plunderphonics, collage or 3d kitbashing. They tend to offer deep exploration by means of collecting things to unlock more areas filled with ideas. This results in a game where the experience is to explore an artistic display created by the developer, the primary focus of which, being curiosity.

The egglike genre is very forgiving when it comes to making a game. As it's more about artistic expression rather than specific gameplay elements, you can focus more on the art if you'd prefer!
