This event is a 22-day long game development marathon where participants from around the world create games inspired by the mysterious and chilling universe of the SCP Foundation. Whether you’re an experienced game developer or a newcomer to the scene, this is your chance to contribute to the ever-expanding lore of SCP.

Theme:

The theme for this year’s game jam is “Reality Breach.” Your mission is to explore the fragility of our perception of reality, the boundaries between the known and unknown, and the anomalies that lurk just beyond our understanding. Whether it's a story of a dangerous SCP breaking containment, a researcher uncovering forbidden knowledge, or a new SCP being discovered, your game should delve into the unsettling and enigmatic nature of these anomalies.

- Submission Categories: Best Narrative, Best Gameplay, Best Visuals, Most Creative SCP, and Community Favorite

- Eligibility: Open to individuals and teams of all skill levels.

Rules and Guidelines:

1. Original Content: You can use pre-existing assets including audio, art, code, models etc as long as you have the right to use them and proper attribution, but creating original assets for your game is highly encouraged.

2. SCP Foundation Integration: Games must incorporate elements from the SCP Foundation universe, whether through specific SCP entries, themes, or settings.

3. Team Size: There is no limit to team size, but all team members must be credited.

4. Submission: Games must be submitted through the event’s itch.io page by the deadline. Late submissions will not be accepted.

5. Respect the Canon: While creative interpretations are encouraged, respect the spirit of the SCP Foundation's collaborative writing effort. Avoid content that is overtly offensive or that misrepresents the Foundation.
