Introduction

Welcome to the scouting game jam for 2024, aimed to help you with new skills. What is a game jam? A game jam is a competition, where individuals, or small teams, create a (In this case video) game in a select amount of time.; Starting on the [Placeholder], you will have a month to create a game that satisfies the theme. A week will pass were you are invited to play and rate others games. Then, on the [Placeholder], we will meet at ashton HQ where the winners will be announced.

Who can participate?

Anyone! Well, anyone in scouting. While this event is aimed at scouts and explorers, anyone can participate. This event is aimed at teaching people new skills, so beginners are welcome. This includes leaders, so if a leader or leader team wants to join they can.

Rules

  • Teams of up to 5 .
  • Game Development: Games must be built during the jam period.
  • Theme Adherence: Entries must fit the theme.
  • Originality: All game assets and code should be original or legally used.

Judging period

As previously mentioned, after the month is up, you will be invited to play and rate other games. Then there will be a day where you'll be invited to ashton HQ, and we'll look at the best games, and the winner of each category (an award per section, things like best music and best art, then the overall winner)  will be announced.
