Hello everyone!

Welcome to the Scarlet Game Jam for the Spring 2021 semester! Get a group of friends or go it on your own as you make your favorite game or the game you have always dreamed of but have never been able to find exactly! The Scarlet Game Jam Spring 2021 is a casual game jam open to all Rutgers University students who are up to the challenge of designing a game from scratch in a week (sorry non-Rutgers kids!). Designers and programmers from any background are welcome. Feel free to join whether you have never touched code before or have been coding since you were two years old . 

4/16/21 - 7:00PM This marks the end of the game jam! Submissions we be closed, and we'll have a showcase starting at that time. We'll play through your games, and if you can make it, you can show off what you made!

Green  

Green has many meanings to build off! You can build a game off of the ideas of re-usability or nature. You can use use green as your primary color. You even can go more abstract and think new and inexperienced as an interpretation. There's many things the idea of green revolves around and you won't be limited to just one. Feel free to explore the definitions, go into synonyms or build your own path! The choice is yours with the word green

Rules:

  • You can work in a team or alone. It's up to you!
  • Your game should be playable on a Windows OS.
  • Only ONE (1) submission per person and/or team.
  • Feel free to use any tools or libraries to make your game! You are also allowed to use any base-code you already have.
  • Your game must be original. Be careful of using things you don't have the legal rights to!
  • No NSFW games! >:(

Prizes?

Unfortunately we will not be giving out any prizes, but this shouldn't stop you from joining! Who knows, maybe you could walk out of this jam with the next big hit!
