In the Roofs above the world, there is a Library.

The rats don't know who built it. But every now and then they pay a visit, hunting down scraps of lore and legend, and leaving a few of their own. Falin Fomenko told me that in the deepest chambers—or was it the highest tower?—there's even a second Book of Names, with pages and pages of Mysteries that no one's ever seen, or no one can remember...

Welcome to the Rooftop Library Jam, a homebrew jam to celebrate the release of The Far Roofs by Jenna Moran!

Make something for this game. I don't care a lot about what, just something. I want to be surprised, to get lost in the things you've created, like how I've gotten lost in The Far Roofs itself.

Rules

  1. Submissions must be designed for play with The Far Roofs, or at least inspired by the game
  2. Submissions must not promote racism, sexism, queerphobia, or other bigotry
  3. Paid projects must be compatible with the Apocynum Press Community Content license, recently  expanded to cover works based on The Far Roofs
  4. Any use of machine-generated text or images for a submission must be clearly noted on its description page

There are no rankings or rewards for participating in this jam, only the joy of creation and appreciation of your peers. The forums are available to discuss ideas, share resources, coordinate collaboration, and so on.

Potential submissions include...

  • New character archetypes
  • New powersets
  • New Quest sets
  • New sidequests, without a set
  • New Stories
  • New neighborhoods
  • New Mysteries
  • New sample NPCs
  • Retellings of adventures you've played through
  • Rat-based card decks
  • Something I haven't thought of yet!
