Welcome to the second edition of Roguelike monthly jam! This is a beginner friendly jam where you have 1 week to develop a roguelike/roguelite game with a 2 days voting period. We're looking forward to see as many people here and build a nice community for both competitive and casual

Roguelike vs. Roguelite

A roguelike is a subgenre of role playing video games, characterized by a dungeon crawl through procedurally generated levels where the player gains upgrades that are lost upon dying or failing, or permanent upgrades that are kept after death. 

Rogue-lite -  A subgenre of roguelikes that has most of the game design philosophies of roguelikes but also has at least one progression element that persists after failure.

Both roguelikes and roguelites are allowed and welcome!

DESTROY and REBUILD

1) Games have to be made and put together during the jam period, in any video game engine. Assets, however, can be made outside the jam period. You can use your own pre-existing assets, or any asset you have legal rights to use. If you use assets you don't own, you will have to mention/credit the asset creator when publishing the build.

2) You can upload game builds for any platform, but we encourage web builds so everyone has an easier time voting your game.

3) Teaming is accepted and encouraged! Participate alone, with friends, or form a team in our discord.

4) Incomplete games are accepted.

5) No NSFW or extreme gore. We wish for the games to be playable by everyone.

6) Linking to an external site will disqualify you from the jam.

The games will be voted on the following criteria:

 1. Enjoyment

 2. Gameplay

 3. Appeal

 4. Music and Sound effects
