This is a jam for creating settings for Risus: The Anything RPG — the free pen and paper roleplaying system written by S. John Ross and published by Dave LeCompte.

Risus is as great and versatile as ever, but it is in need of something new and exciting. That's where you come in — create a setting using the ruleset, and be forever remembered as a hero by our faithful community!

Rules and guidelines:

• Make a setting for Risus: The Anything RPG. A world to play in.

• You may complete a thing that you've started earlier, it doesn't have to be created specifically for the jam — just give us something new.

• You don't have to keep all the original rules intact — come up with some of your own to make the setting pop. Check out this collection of rules created by the community over the years: it's great inspiration!

• The setting has to be free (and not pay-what-you-want, unfortunately).

• Give attribution: Risus: The Anything RPG was originally created by S. John Ross and is Copyright ©1993-2013,2021 by Dave LeCompte.

• Any format is supported, but PDFs are preferred (due to how familiar they are to us all).

• Art is not required, but is very much welcome! If you're not confident in you artistic abilities, don't worry. The original Risus is illustrated with stickfigures, and everyone can draw those.

• Other than that: do whatever! Fantasy or sci-fi, whimsical or dead serious, huge or small — you do you!
