This jam is for creating moons for the recently released tabletop roleplaying game REALIS.
WHAT IS REALIS?
Realis is a TTRPG, recently released as an ashcan, authored by Austin Walker. Its pretty cool, check it out! The atomic particle of the game is the Sentence -- a statement such as "I always kill my foe" or "I always hear the voices of countless demons". Sentences generally start broad but weak, and accumulate conditions and modifiers as they become stronger over time and use. "+0 I always kill my foe" might become "+1 I always kill my unnatural foes" which might become "+2 I always kill unnatural foes when I have the time to study their combat techniques" which might become...
WHAT IS A MOON?
1,000 moons orbit the cursed, luminous, world of Realis. Linked by shuttles and the living Orphan Vessels, scrabbled over by great powers, and inhabited by the numinous and diverse moonfolk. Functionally, a moon is a little unit of prep, a little mini setting to set adventures in.
Format wise, a Moon is composed of:
- A name and title. ex. "Yndyne, Moon of droughts"
- An impulse - a short statement encapsulating some action that the moon rewards. ex. "Jealously guard resources"
- A description - a few paragraphs describing the moon's deal
- Three Person Sentences and three Place Sentences that realize facets of the moon, always starting with rank +0. ex. "+0 Yndyne warlords always have what you need." or "+0 Yndyne fungal ghost towns always sprout to life with water".

CAN I SUBMIT MULTIPLE MOONS?
Yes! Either bundle them in the same project or submit multiple projects!
IS THIS JAM RANKED? ANY PRIZES?
No! I will be checking out and trying to comment on all submitted moons though.
CAN I WORK ON MOONS BEFORE THE JAM PERIOD OR SUBMIT PREVIOUSLY AUTHORED MOONS?
Sure! I'd say any moon that you worked on, even a little bit, during the jam period is fair game to submit!
CAN I USE "AI"?
No please! There are plenty of other places where "AI" stuff is accepted, please don't submit it here.
CAN I SUBMIT SOMETHING THAT ISN'T A MOON?
No please. Specifically, I will remove video game spam from this jam.
CAN I BE AN ASSHOLE?
No, obviously. Fash and bigoted content will be removed.
