Welcome to the Ran Jam !

The game jam where we make a game decided on by the RanDOME

The RanDOME?

Just before the JAM starts we will all participate in a randomly generated theme that we will vote on together the day of the jam.  We will generate the theme using a random theme generator that we created. You may make theme suggestions, but the current generator resides at:  https://www.supergamebros.com/randome . Please follow the link for more information on the theme rules.

The event will last 24 hours, during which you will have to complete your game and submit it to this page.  Then we will go through a voting process that will last 1 week allowing everyone to play everyone's games. Then based on the results we will announce a winner. The winning team will get bragging right but will also receive a bonus gift from us so make your submissions count.

SCHEDULE All times are in EST (UTC - 4)

• 17:00  - Pre-Jam meetups, questions, stream setup, getting everything generally up and running.
• 17:45 - Theme Reveal / Voting. (Theme bonus reveal ????)
• 18:00 - BEGIN!
• 18:00 (The next day) - END! Finalize those projects and start submissions.
• 19:00 - Submission Cutoff! No more "official" submissions taken after this time on itch.

RanDOME History

This Jam is inspired by a 10 week project we undertook in the late summer of 2020. We wanted to make a game in a short amount of time, similar to game jams we've participated in in the past, and we wanted the theme and genre to be randomly generated to give us a challenge (not that making games isn't already challenging.)
