What's this jam about?

Everyone in this jam will create a rage game!
A rage game is a game that focuses on very precise, skillful and/or difficult gameplay that has the potential to make the players rage.
Games like Getting Over It, Jump King or Only Up are some prominent examples.

There's a catch!

Each iteration of the Rage Game Jam will have a specific limitation that gets revealed at the beginning of the jam.
Each game can make use of that limitation. It's not necessary to implement the limitation into the game, however there's a voting criteria for it. If you're aiming for a good overall rating then it's advised to make use of it!

Voting:

Here're the categories you'll be voting on:

• Fun
  How much fun did players have playing your game?
• Innovation
  How innovative was your game? Did you get creative by adding new and surprising mechanics? Has your game unique gameplay?
• Visuals
  How good does your game look? Using third party assets should not be a reason to lower the ranking!
• Audio
  Where there enough sounds? Did the music fit the game?
• Fairness
  How fair was your game? Did you fall down all the way to the beginning all the time or where there save areas? Did players feel like failing was their fault or the games fault?
• Limitation Integration
  How well integrated is the given limitation of the jam? Make sure to read the explanation the Dev gave

Rules

There're a few rules you've to follow:

• No NSFW, discriminating or otherwise offensive games
• Please try to create everything (except third party assets or code) within the time of the game jam
• You can work alone or in a team with up to three people
• No use of AI to create assets or code at all!
• Feel free to use third party assets if you've the rights to use them

All entries will get some in-depth feedback from some professionals of the games industry. Join the Discord and post your game in the #🎮・submissions channel if you want to get the feedback!
