Welcome to the Quinnipiac Game Developers Club Game Jam! This jam is intended as a way to allow Quinnipiac students to create works that they are proud of to submit for the upcoming GDD Showcase on May 4. There is a $100 prize for the best student-made Game Dev Club Game Jam Game at the showcase, so give it your best shot!

The kickoff for the jam will be at 9:30 PM on Wednesday, April 19 in Tator Hall 129. There will also be a Zoom meeting posted in the Game Developers Club Discord, and the theme will be posted both here and in the Discord server for anyone who misses the kickoff.

The theme of the Game Developers Club Jam is LINKED. Feel free to take this in the direction of your choosing. If you’re struggling to come up with an idea, here are some potential paths to explore:

• Linking together clues to solve a mystery
• Linking stage elements to create a path
• Linking independent systems to solve larger tasks
• Linking the controls of multiple characters together

The jam will last for an entire week until submissions close at 9:30 PM on Wednesday, April 26. After that point, anyone who submitted a game will be invited to score all of the other games in the jam so a winner can be determined. This scoring period will last until 9:30 PM on Wednesday, May 3.
