Now, let's get to the exciting part! The QUDO GameJam will span over 72 action-packed hours, challenging you to create a game and incorporate the QUDO SDK into it, leveraging QUDO's capabilities to enhance the gameplay experience of your game.



Who can participate?

Anyone, regardless of age or location, can join the QUDO GameJam. You have the freedom to work solo or form teams according to your preference.

When does the QUDO GameJam begin?

Mark your calendars for July 27th at 4pm UTC, when the QUDO GameJam will kick off with a burst of creative energy.

What is the theme?

There is no main theme, as the challenge is to integrate QUDO and create a game that can enhance QUDO's features to the fullest. Since, there is not theme restrictions we are looking out of the box game ideas that benefit from having QUDO integrated. 

Can I use existing assets?

Yes. you are allowed to utilize pre-existing code. Art and audio assets as long as you have the legal rights to incorporate them.

When should I submit my game?

Feel free to submit your game at any time after the jam begins. Early submissions are welcome, and you can continue updating your game until the jam concludes.

Who will evaluate the games?

The games will be judged by the QUDO team, who will have the opportunity to experience and rank each entry. Subsequently, the QUDO team will select their three favorites. All results will be announced once the evaluation process is complete.

What criteria will be used for judging?

Games will be evaluated based on several criteria, including enjoyment, creativity, presentation, and the implementation of QUDO features. Strive to deliver an immersive and captivating experience that showcases the potential of QUDO.

Which game engine should I use? 

Game submissions for the QUDO GameJam must have QUDO integrated, which is currently compatible only with the Unity Game Engine. We understand that game developers have different preferences and we are actively working to expand QUDO's compatibility with other game engines in the near future. However, for the time being, Unity is the chosen platform for unleashing the full potential of QUDO in your game development endeavors.

Which platforms can I develop my game for?

In this particular QUDO GameJam, we are exclusively accepting games developed for PC and Mobile (iOS/Android). The QUDO SDK is currently compatible only with these platforms, ensuring seamless integration of web3 features. We acknowledge that there may be interest in expanding to other platforms in the future and we will keep you updated on any developments regarding compatibility with additional platforms.

How can I integrate QUDO into my game?

You can integrate QUDO into your game simply by importing QUDO's SDK into your Unity Editor.  Check out the following video for a step-by-step tutorial:

How do I submit a game?

To submit your game, you will need to upload it to itch.io, following the same process as you would for any other game. Once uploaded, provide all the necessary files and additional details for your game.


Please ensure that your game is made available for free (or allow players to choose "any amount") on itch.io. Set the game status as "released" rather than "draft".

Afterward, return to this page on itch.io and click on the "submit game" button. From the dropdown box, select your game and proceed to answer the required questions to finalize your submission.


To confirm that your game is successfully entered in the jam, visit your game's itch.io page and look for the badge labeled "Submission to the QUDO GameJam 2023" in the top right corner.

Can I change my game after the jam ends?

Once the jam ends, there will be a rating period (details below) where no changes to your game are allowed. Uploading new versions, bug fixes, or additional content is locked during this time. Please hold back from including links to alternate builds or making requests for players to try different versions in your description or comments to avoid disqualification. The version you upload before the jam closes will be the one played and judged.

Deleting your game during this period will result in disqualification, as we won't be able to assist you.

However, you can still update your game's page, including the thumbnail, description, screenshots, and design, during this time. It is recommended to make any desired changes quickly, as most ratings occur at the beginning of the rating period.

Once the rating period ends, you are free to update your game, charge for it, and release it on other platforms. The game is yours to do with as you wish!

Are the games judged?

Absolutely! Over the course of one week after the jam, the QUDO team will rate games based on Enjoyment, Creativity, Presentation, and QUDO implementation. These criteria contribute to the overall rating of your game.

After the rating period, the QUDO team will select the top 3 favorites for rewards.

*QUDO is currently running on the Telos testnet. Therefore, the current QUDO tokens in circulation are test tokens and don't have market value. The GameJam winners amount of prize tokens will be sent to each respective Telos Native Wallets (mainnet) after QUDO's launch on the Telos mainnet. 

Disclaimer: In the eventuality of not having enough submissions (over 10) by the deadline, QUDO reserves the right to reschedule the GameJam.
