PS1 may be great. However, let's not forget the PS2!

The PS2 Toy Box Jam is a game jam dedicated to the PlayStation 2, and for PS2 lovers alike!

What's the theme?

Luckily, there is no theme. You can make whatever you want. Just no NSFW material.

REQUIREMENTS

To make your submission look like a PS2 game for this jam, follow these guidelines:

Screen aspect ratio: 4:3 for a real authentic look. 16:9 is fine, too
Models: At least between low poly and high poly.
Music: maybe make it a wee bit compressed.
BONUS Vibe if you want to add PS2 buttons in your UI/HUDs.

The game has to be original, unless if you want to make a fan-made "licensed" game for fun.

WHAT ABOUT ENGINES?

You are welcome to use Unity, Unreal or Godot. Your submission has to be a .exe file in a zip folder.

What's the outcome? At the end of the jam, i will ask you if its okay to add your game to a "PS2 Toy Box Demo Disc", which is just a promotion for your other games. Otherwise, it's for fun and appreciation for the PS2. If you do accept the permissions, you can make a "Pre-release Demo" version of your submission
