For this game project you create a 3D video game in a group of 3 to 4 in about 2 weeks. The game can be based off one of the existing games or a brand-new design. Your finished game must contain the following:
- A game with a character
- Platforms for the character to move on
- Objects the character picks up using Area 3D – at least two that affects the player in some way (e.g. heal, move slower, etc…) and at least two that affects the game or player (e.g. heal, add score, cause particle effect, etc…). The Objects can have more than one effect, but there must be four different objects that each cause something to happen when grabbed.
- An object that reacts to the player in a negative way (e.g. attacks, makes the player move slower, etc...)
- Objects that block the character’s movement
- At least 3 Sound Effects
- Background music
- Utilizing at least one of: RigidBody3D, StaticBody3D, and/or KineticBody3D to handle collisions
- Control system that allows the character to move in at least three different ways (e.g. left, right, jump, etc..).
- A User Interface (e.g. HP Gauge, Score, Timer, etc…) consisting of at least 3 components that get updated as the game is played
- A Menu Screen that has a Play button
