What will not be tolerated? 

Game components with symbols of hate. 

Games about genocide, slavery, or human trafficking (examples).

Abusive behavior towards other members of the community or their designs.

This is a community-centric Game Design Jam.  This is a Jam, NOT a Contest.

Collaboration, sharing, community playtesting, and feedback are all encouraged. 

Play nice with everyone. PERIOD.

Rules | Guidelines

Games must fit on 

1. 5" x 7" Postcard (or metric equivalent) 

2. 10"x 7" Greeting Card (ok, let's fudge just a little 8.5" x 11" or an A4)

BOTH FORMATS DOUBLE SIDED - YES

DESIGNS DO NOT NEED TO BE NEW DESIGNS FOR THIS JAM!  

Have you been working on it for years... use it.

What is a Historical? That question has caused a few civil wars unto itself...lol. I will use a very loose interpretation of what a Historical game is. One of the goals of the Jam is to encourage exploring that boundary. 

Dice, 52-card decks, and Coins may be part of the design and not included on the postcard.  

Counters, Cubes, and Player markers MUST be included on the postcard. (The spirit of a postcard game is that a postcard game is complete and self-reliant, sans dice, 52 52-card decks, or coins)

Submission Limit: No Limit, if you have the time and energy, share all of your designs.

All playable games will be made available for FREE to the general public.

I plan to highlight playable games on the "Postcards from the Front - Podcast".   I am trying to figure out the best way to highlight your games that fits into my real-life schedule...lol
