Let's make playlists (or mixtapes i suppose if you're like a pro mixtaper)!

Ahh, the lost art of putting songs in a list. Whether you are lovingly putting together a mixtape for someone else or you're creating the perfect playlist for a long car ride, there's something special about making a collection of songs for a certain purpose. But the sad truth is that because of the algorithm or a lack of time, we barely make them anymore! That's why for this jam, we set aside the time to handcraft some beautiful playlists. Organise your music library, tell a story, make a special list just for a friend!

In this super low key jam, there's not much rules. Just feel free to make whatever you wanna make and however you wanna make. So, you can make a playlists in Bandcamp, itch, Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube, or cassette tape. You can also make a game about playlist or an interactive playlist if you feel like it! Or pair it with wines, record your own playlist music, perform humming, etc. Feel free to explore the possibilities of playlists!

Here's the schedule: 
24 Sep (Fri) - Jam begins. We won't do anything. But if you wanna start thinking about your playlist, this is probably a good time to do it. Oh, and you can join Gæmz Discord if you haven't and feel like hanging out with us on a Discord server. 
25 Sep (Sat) 15.00 UTC - Let's hang out over a video chat! The link to the video chat will be posted on Discord & Gæmz Twitter (@gaemzmu). Maybe you can meet people who you want to make playlists for (because I heard that people used to make mix tapes for specific people and that sounds sick) 
17 Oct (Sun) 15.00 UTC - Presentation time! We'll do this over Discord voice chat! So, if you prefer staying away from Discord, let me know in advance (maybe by Saturday)!

FAQ (guesstimated):
Q. How to submit? 
A. Just show up to the presentation. That would be the easiest. HOWEVER, in case that is difficult for you, you can make an itch.io game page and submit it to this jam, or post your playlist in the thread on Discord which will be available during the jam!

Q. Why should you make a playlist?

A. It's kinda like writing a letter to someone but musical (e.g. mixtape for your new friends)
